Using new print techniques and a clean fresh colour palette the collection characterises and defines the true spirit of MissPrint. All MissPrint wallpapers are developed from our original hand-drawn illustrations produced in the most environmentally friendly way. This wallpaper collection is printed onto FSC certified paste-the-wall paper and manufactured in England.
The Designs:
Palm Tree - A delicate, line art version of palm trees growing vertically, with hand drawn stems and foliage. Between the leaves a bold circular pop of differing colour helps harmonize the repeating pattern across the wall.
Hieroglyph - Reminiscent of ancient Egyptian writing, Hieroglyph has been designed using straight horizontal and vertical lines to create a fabric like woven texture when viewed from afar. Up close each motif is carefully drawn and printed with a surface printing technique, creating a tactile feel.
Tarn - Inspired by light reflections on sheltered mountain tarns and the gentle, almost hypnotic, patterns they create. Represented by geometric semi circles, each one is drawn by hand with subtle differences in each motif.
Hoja - Using hardy desert succulent plants for inspiration, abstract silhouettes are delicately striped with textured patterns, all originally drawn by hand with pen and ink.
Little Trees - Intricate whimsical illustrations of small line drawn trees evolved from simple pen studies in a sketchbook. Each tree within the wallpaper width is unique, creating an even natural texture on your walls.
Saplings - Carefully drawn and developed into a seamlessly repeating pattern, small delicate leaves energetically grow from thin stems. The palette is refined to single colours to complement the illustration.
Mountains - Inspired by the scenic peaks and fells of Great Britain, Mountains evolved from simple sketches of rugged backdrops and textures used in mapmaking. Between the illustrative outlines, bold suns (or moons) catch the mountain edges as they rise and set.
Muscat Small - Originally inspired by mid-century science based design, abstract organic forms rise grow from slim vertical stems. The wallpaper is printed using a technique similar to block printing giving a subtle texture, with a fresh colour palette adding new life to vintage forms.
Dandelion Mobile - Featuring stylised abstract illustrations of dandelion plants, each bold motif is held together with thin linear lines, delicately hanging like a mobile. The half-drop repeat and mid-century inspired colour options create an uplifting harmony to any room of the home.
Cotton Tree - An expressive graphic tree design inspired by visits to Japan. Bold circular designs pop out between tree branches, as flowers crowd the stems and obscure the sky, reminiscent of sakura or cherry blossom.
